The Heart
Your heart beats about 80 times per minute, pumping around 1.5~ gallons of blood through out your whole body. Sitting in the left side of your chest it's a big muscle, with multiple pumps to push blood into your lungs and body in order to receive oxygen.
The right side of your heart fills with blood from the body and pumps it into your lungs.

The Parts of the Heart
The heart has multiple blood pump sections, these are called chambers. The two chambers on the top of the heart are called atrium their job is to fill with blood from the lungs and circulate it.
The chambers on the bottom of the heart are called the ventricles. They pump the blood to the body and lungs. There is also a wall-like muscle between the atria and ventricles, this called the septum.
The atria and ventricles are like a team, the atria fill the ventricles with blood and the ventricles pump that through out the body.

The Circulation Process
The blood in your body doesn't ever just whoosh around where ever it wants, other wise you'll be a human water balloon. Your blood travels in a series of paths and tubes, these are all called blood vessels. They are the veins and arteries you see most clearly in your arms, hands and legs. The blood vessels all are attached to the heart where your blood comes and goes. Your veins carry the blood from the heart through out the body while your arteries carry blood back to your heart. Your heart can circulate blood at a speed of about 1 minute, your heart is a powerful muscle!

Heart Attack!!
The heart is one powerful muscle, it continues beating through out your entire life. You've got to take care of your heart to keep it healthy and strong, by eating good foods and making smart choices. But some things can't be controlled that easily. A heart attack happens when the flow of blood (which carries oxygen) gets clogged. Blood clots can get stuck and prevent oxygen from getting to part of the body. These can happen slowly over time, not always in one instance. Although it might seem unpreventable there are ways to keep heart attacks from happening. Keep your blood pressure normal, eat healthy and stay active!
